Watch video and help identify arson suspects

Durham Police are investigating a suspicious fire set at a residence in Oshawa.

On December 17 at 5:50 am, members of Central East Division responded to a fire call at a residence on Albert Street. Officers arrived to find the side of a house that had evidence of being set on fire. After reviewing video surveillance, they were able to determine that three suspects were at the residence with a gas can and lit a fire at the side of the home. It is believed that the males fled to a waiting vehicle, said a police media release.

A homeowner attempted to put the fire out until Oshawa Fire Services extinguished the flames. There was minimal damage to the brick wall.

Investigators are treating this as an arson.

The three suspects are described as males who had their faces covered.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call D/Cst. Shaw or D/Cst Woolley of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2764/2732.
