Durham Works Department is implementing lane restrictions on Park Road (Regional Road 54), in the Oshawa to repair a watermain break.
When: Ongoing until repairs are complete.
Where: Southbound on Park Road, from Adelaide Avenue (Regional Road 58) to Elgin Street.
The northbound left turning lane from Park Road onto Adelaide Avenue.
Why: To repair a broken watermain.
Note: Residents in the immediate area may experience a water service interruption or decrease in water pressure during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
The region realizes that the work is disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
