15 cm of snow: Afternoon commute may be slippery

A weather advisory is in effect for today (Monday, November 11), according to Environment Canada.

It said snow will begin early Monday morning and fall well into the night with accumulations of between 10 to 15 centimetres.

It cautioned that the afternoon commute will likely be slippery.

“If you’re out on the roads, drive according to the road and weather conditions and stay a safe distance back from other vehicles, including snowplows. Ensure all vehicles are off the road to allow for snow clearing operations,” said a Clarington statement.

“Temporary parking passes are not valid during a snow event, and new passes may not be issued for the approximate duration of the cleanup,” sit added.
