17-year-old pedestrian struck… but she’s doing fine

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a female pedestrian was struck while crossing a street in Oshawa.

The intersection of Waverly Street and Rossland Road in Oshawa was closed for an investigation into the pedestrian collision, said a police tweet.

It said a 17-year-old was struck at about 9:40 am and was taken for assessment to a local hospital.

Later DRPS tweeted the good news. “The 17-year-old female pedestrian who was struck is doing fine – just some scrapes and bruises.”

Intersection was re-opened and police thanked those affected for their patience.
