20-year old zips along at 177 in an 80 kmph zone

A 20-year old had his driver’s licence suspended and Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers impounded the vehicle he was driving, for speeding.

The young man from Oshawa was caught driving at 177 kmph in an 80 kmph zone on Harmony near Winchester a few nights ago.

His licence was suspended and the vehicle impounded for seven days with a Stunt Driving charge, police said.

It did not mention under whose name the vehicle was registered.

“Speeding endangers lives on our roadways…slow down!” said DRPS tweet.

No further details were provided.

  1. People are driving fast everywhere now, every One is in a rush to get to the next light. I wish there was more officers on the road.
