Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said it handed out 48 tickets in one day during a safety campaign in Pickering.
DRPS is carrying out ‘Keeping Our Roadways Safe’ campaign.
On Thursday, Traffic Services Branch and West Division conducted a commercial motor vehicle safety initiative in Pickering, DRPS said in a tweet.
In one day, 48 tickets were handed out, 11 vehicles (trucks/ trailers) were taken out of service and 4 others had their plates removed, it added.
