$50,000 reward in murder case of bystander

Toronto Police has announced a $50,000 reward leading to the arrest of the killer of a 26-year old man.

Kiesingar Gunn was murdered early on Sunday, September 11. Toronto Police reached the crime scene in the area of Liberty Street and Mowat Avenue at at 4:04 am.

It is reported that shots were fired and Gunn was struck by a bullet, taken to hospital in serious condition, and succumbed to his injuries just before midnight on Sunday, September 11.

Police do not believe he was the intended target of the shooting.

 

Investigators are asking anyone who may have been at the scene, who may have cell phone video or photos, to contact police. Further, if there is anyone who has a business or residence in that area with security video that may have captured video of the event are also asked to contact the Homicide Squad.

Toronto Chief of Police has approved an extension of the existing $50,000 reward, now effective until September 10, 2020.

Up to $50,000 is being offered as a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer or killers responsible for the death of Kiesingar Gunn.

Investigators are hoping that by extending this reward it will give an incentive for someone who witnessed the incident and can identify the suspect to come forward.

The suspect

The suspect is described as 18-22 year old black man, dark complexion, 5’11”-6′, slim build, braided hair (possibly cornrows). He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, with a black print or logo on it.
