Watch Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour in Whitby

Whitby has been selected as one of 25 Canadian stops on the 2019 Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour – the ultimate NHL experience celebrating the local hockey stories that connect the nation.

Each weekend of the free Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour festival will feature live entertainment, NHL alumni, and hockey-themed activities, culminating with a live outdoor viewing party of an NHL broadcast from the Sportsnet Mobile Studio. The tour will once again be hosted by Sportsnet’s Ron MacLean and Tara Slone.

Whitby’s event will take place on December 28 and 29, 2019 (location to be confirmed) and be celebrated throughout the community.

“We are thrilled to have Whitby selected as one of this year’s Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour stops,” said Whitby Mayor Don Mitchell. “Whitby has a rich history in the sport of hockey and is hometown to legendary names like Nieuwendyk, Roberts, Foote and Primeau – to name a few. Our minor hockey organizations – the Wolves and Wildcats – are second to none. This is a great opportunity to showcase our Whitby pride.”

The 2019 Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour kicks off on October 5 and 6 – the first weekend of the NHL season – in Halton Hills, Ontario.

Once confirmed, details for the Whitby Hometown Hockey event will be made available at whitby.ca.
