The Toronto Police Service is asking help from the public to identify a man and woman wanted in a ‘Distraction Theft’ investigation.
On Monday, April 8 at 4 pm, a woman was with friends at a restaurant in the Bay Street and Wellington Street West area. The woman had placed her bag and someone took her bag, removed personal items and put the bag back near its original spot.
Security camera images captured the thieves and the theft of another persons belongings. The other victim has not reported the theft to police.
Police believe there may be other victims.
