Students will not return to class on January 25

Durham District School Board (DDSB) yesterday announced that students in Durham Region will not be returning to in-person learning on Monday January 25. Students will continue to learn remotely.

It said that this announcement does not impact students currently learning in-person in a Dev/PLP/SLC class.

The Ministry of Education had previously communicated that the next date students would be returning to in-person learning is Wednesday, February 10, 2021. “We will inform families if there are any changes to this approach,” said a DDSB tweet.

It said Durham schools will be sending an update to families today with more information.
