As vaccine availability increases, Durham Region Health Department, is speeding up the Covid-19 vaccination drive – in some cases ahead of the province.
Now it has announced that 18+ residents can get the Moderna vaccine at pharmacies in Ajax and Pickering.
Though most of the bookings are by appointment, there are some pharmacies offering walk-in vaccinations, said Durham Health.
Residents have been quick to take up the offer – even from other communities within Durham, especially after Astra-Zeneca was stopped by the province.
Durham Health opened vaccinations by booking for 40+ and Group 2 essential workers, as well as people in At-Risk health groups, from May 10.
