People were evacuated from an Ajax recreation centre after an unknown substance was found on the premises.
Both the Fire Department and the Durham Region Police Services responded after being alerted about the incident at the Audley Recreation Center.
The substance was removed and there is no public safety concerns, said the police.
The Fire Department is investigating.
