The City of Oshawa has received applications related to a planned project of a five-storey apartment building on King Street East.
The applicant proposes to redevelop the site for a new 5-storey apartment building containing 32 dwelling units, the city said.
The applications have been submitted by 11373846 Canada Corp. for lands at 954 King Street East.
These have been determined to be complete.

It said the purpose and effect of these applications is to:
- Amend the Oshawa Official Plan by adding a site specific policy to permit a maximum residential density of 232 units per net hectare; and,
- Amend Zoning By-law 60-94 by rezoning the lands from R1-C (Residential) to an appropriate site specific R6-C (Residential) Zone to permit an apartment building and to implement the proposed development with site specific conditions to permit certain performance standards such as, but not necessarily limited to, increased residential density and lot coverage, and reduced parking, yard depths and landscaped open space.
The city said a planning Act public meeting will be held regarding applications to amend the Oshawa Official Plan and Zoning By-law 60-94.
This public meeting will take place in the Council Chamber, Oshawa City Hall, 50 Centre Street South on January 12 at 6:30 pm.
