Man who went missing from Claremont found

Durham police said they have found the missing 47-year-old male, Luke Winterstein, who was last seen on May 13 leaving his family’s residence in Claremont in a relative’s vehicle.

The male left in the morning to run errands but never returned home. The vehicle that he was operating was found Wednesday night, abandoned on a residential property in Uxbridge by Concession Road 3. The missing male has not made any contact with family and friends and his family and police have concerns for his wellbeing, said a police media release.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said members of North and West divisions and the DRPS Public Safety Unit was out searching for the missing man in Uxbridge yesterday afternoon, using ATVs, as they are an essential tool in the rugged terrain and large green spaces.
