Ajax, mayor not under ombudsman investigation

The Town of Ajax has issued a statement clarifying that the town and its mayor Shaun Collier are not under investigation by the Ontario Ombudsman’s Office.

However, statement said that a complaint had been filed.

“We can confirm a complaint was filed, however, neither the Town nor the Mayor are subject of an investigation by the Ombudsman’s Office as a result. Any claim otherwise is categorically false,” said the statement.

It pointed out that town was made aware from comments on social media that claimed the town and its mayor were under investigation. The town contacted the Ombudsman’s Office on August 7, 2020 to seek clarity.

“We take these matters very seriously, and as such, we continue to work with the Ombudsman’s Office to ensure fairness, accountability and transparency in our work and processes,” the statement added.

  1. I am inquiring about why I have to get my marriage license from my first marriage and get my license from my 2nd translated from Spanish to English before I can get my license back even though they have my license # on file. I can’t afford a lawyer so if you won’t help me let me know before I go any further

  2. Why is it NEW CANADIANS that can’t read or write in English have no problem getting their drivers license and they want to put me through such hell to get mine. They have my license on file but still want me to pay to get for my marriage licenses also told me to get my passport then I could get my drivers licence but the passport place wants my drivers license to get a passport. I don’t know what to do and I am so frustrated.

  3. Why are you asking the same things over and over. If you can’t or won’t help me let me know so I can stop wasting your time and mine
