Pedestrian critically injured in Ajax collision

An unidentified male pedestrian remains in hospital in critical condition after being struck by a motor vehicle on Westney Road South in Ajax Monday night.

On August 24 at about 9:00 pm, officers from West Division were called to the scene of a pedestrian who had been struck by a southbound vehicle on Westney Road South at Bramwell Drive. The unidentified male pedestrian was transported to a Toronto-area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition. The involved driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigating officers, police said.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation.
