With only essential services running and most staff working from home, Ajax has taken this slowdown due to Covid-19 pandemic, to do some renovation and repairs to its town hall on Harwood Avenue.
Works are scheduled to start today (June 1) and estimated to end by August 10, 2020.
Construction includes exterior renovation work such as replacement of the roof system and repairs to the exterior cladding, the town said.
It warned residents to be careful as equipment will be on site and to expect periods of noise and odours.
“We will do our best to minimize disruptions and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the facility,” said a statement on the town’s website.
