Assault at Home: Warrant for one suspect, another unknown

A 39-year-old male is wanted after an assault at a residence in Whitby, a second suspect remains unidentified.

On Friday, August 29, members of Central West Division responded to a check call at a residence in the area of Annes Street and Jermyn Street.

Officers attended and located an adult male suffering from serious injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre and remains in stable condition, police said.

At this time, investigators believe this to be an isolated incident and that there is no threat to public safety.

Investigators have identified one suspect and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. However the second suspect remains unidentified.

The identified suspect, age 39, of Whitby is wanted for: Aggravated Assault. Name and photo are available at www.drps.ca.

The second unidentified suspect is described as: male, White, medium build, 5’8” to 5’10”, and approximately 40 years of age.
