Attempted murder suspect arrested after 10 months

Durham Police investigators have made an arrest in a September 25, 2020 Pickering shooting.

On that fall day, members of West Division responded to a residence in the area of Whites Road and Sheppard Avenue in Pickering for a shooting, where a male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds. After a 10-month investigation, a suspect was identified by West Division Criminal Investigations Branch and was arrested on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Toronto.

Colin Olafemi, age 32 of Toronto is charged with 13 Criminal Code offences including: Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, numerous Firearms Offences and Possessing Stolen Property. The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
