Clarington to merge three home-related by-laws into one

The Municipality of Clarington announced that it is reviewing and updating three existing by-laws, and invites public interaction on January 28.

The Boulevard By-law review aims to consolidate these regulations into one comprehensive by-law to streamline processes, improve clarity for residents, businesses, and contractors, and align with modern standards, said a municipal release.

Boulevard By-law: A boulevard is typically the strip of land between the road and your property line, often containing grass, trees, or sidewalks. This area is municipal land, not private property.

Road Occupancy By-law: Road occupancy refers to temporarily using or closing part of a municipal road for construction or related activities.

Private Entrance By-law: A private entrance is any driveway, gate, or access point that connects your property to a municipal road.

A Public Information Centre is being held on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:30 pm in the Town Hall, located at 40 Temperance Street in Bowmanville.
