Female motorcyclist seriously injured in Pickering

A 60-year-old Pickering female was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after her motorcycle left the roadway at Whites Road and Pickering Concession Road 3.

On Tuesday, July 23, at 10:26 am, officers from West Division were called to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a single motor vehicle. A motorcycle was travelling northbound on Whites Road and left the roadway at the intersection of Whites Road and Pickering Concession Road 3. The motorcycle hit a tree and the female driver was thrown from the motorcycle.

The 60-year-old driver of the motorcycle was treated at the scene and then transported to a Toronto-area trauma center for treatment of serious injuries.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
