Whitby: A gun trafficking investigation by the Gun & Gang Unit has resulted in two arrests, the seizure of three guns and $9,000 in cash and drugs, in Brampton. The investigation focused on legally-owned guns being sold illegally.
A search warrant was authored and granted for an address in Brampton, where investigators found three handguns (two were loaded), 24 rounds of loose ammunition, a quantity of drugs and $3,000 in Canadian currency. The value of the drugs, including cocaine, Oxycocet pills and a small amount of Fentanyl, is estimated at approximately $6,000.
Both males were held for a bail hearing.
