Officers yesterday received calls about coyote sightings in Peel Park in Whitby.
However, by the time the officers checked the area, the results were negative.
There was a rash of comments about coyote sightings in response to the Durham Police statement on Facebook.
“Please don’t feed the coyotes. Make sure your pets are close and on a leash when walking in the parks especially in the evening hours,” said the police.
