Curb side pick-up ‘paint-a-mug’ program is back

Pickering’s second Curb Side Pick-Up ‘Paint a Mug’ program package will be available on Tuesday, May 12 from 10 am – 12 pm at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex.

A city statement said reservation is required.

Due to the tremendous success of the first pick up, a number of changes have been implemented in order to ensure we can accommodate as many children as possible, the statement said.

In order to participate, register in advance on Event Brite at https://www.eventbrite.com/o/city-of-pickering-28898294891. Registration is open from 9 am on Friday, May 8. You can also call Community Services at 905.420.4620 during business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Following reservation, you will receive confirmation which enables you to pick up your activity kit. One kit will be available per child, up to a maximum of three (3) per household. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis. If you are not available to pick up your kit between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Tuesday please consider registering for a future program instead, the statement said.

Once you have confirmation, come out and meet city staff – this time at the back entrance of the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, entering off Diefenbaker Court.  Bring your confirmation, drop your toonie in a basket and pick up your activity kit. This is a great way to keep engaged with City of Pickering programs, while continuing to practice physical distancing, it said.

“We look forward to seeing you, from a distance, at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex every Tuesday from 10 am – 12 pm to pick up your activity kit of the week!
