Here is a reminder of common household items that can and can not be put in your blue box:

Plastic containers

• Plastic bottles
• Bakery and cookie trays
• Fruit and vegetable containers
• Plastic egg cartons
• Takeout food containers
• Single serve yogurt and pudding cups
• No plastic bags
• No Tupperware-type containers
• No hangers
• No plastic straws or cutlery
• No motor oil continainers
• No coffee pods or take out coffee cups

Metal containers

• Aluminum beverage cans
• Steel food and beverage cans
• Aluminum foil and trays
• Empty paint and aerosol cans (lids removed)
• No propane or helium tanks
• No pots or pans
• No hangers

Glass containers

• Food glass bottles and jars
• No window panes, light bulbs or mirrors
Other containers
• Juice boxes and tetra paks
• Milk cartons
• Spiral containers
• No straws
• No food or drink pouches

Paper

• Newspaper
• Shredded paper
• Catalogues and magazines
• Office paper and computer paper
• Junk mail and envelopes
• No photographs or carbon paper
