Driver “comin’ in hott!” cooled off with impound

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers from the Traffic Services Branch yesterday cooled off a speeding vehicle whose driver claimed he was “comin’ in hott!”

He got a seven-day licence suspension and vehicle impound.

At around 6:15 am an officer stopped a vehicle on Dundas Street and Swordfish Drive in Whitby.

The driver was clocked doing 127 kmh in a 50 kmh zone.

The 24-year old man from Whitby is charged with Speeding, Stunt Driving and Careless Driving.
