An individual suffered minor injuries as the truck he or she was driving swerved off the road and hit a hydro pole in Oshawa.
The crash,which occurred at 1400 Ritson Road North, forced the closure of the road, according to a Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) tweet.
“Road Closure Oshawa – Ritson Rd N closed in both directions between Ormond Dr and Luple Av for a collision investigation…Minor injuries and will re-open shortly,” it added.
In a tweet at 9:42 am yesterday, Oshawa Power said: “HAPPENING NOW – Motor Vehicle Accident in the area of 1400 Ritson RD N has taken out a hydro pole. Emergency response is on the scene. Please use caution if you are in the area. Our crews will repair as quickly as possible.”
It did not mention if there was a power outage as a result of the crash.
Neither DRPS nor Oshawa Power revealed the gender of the driver. Further details are awaited.
