Drugs in Oshawa home of man held in Bowmanville

An Oshawa male is facing multiple charges after more than $18,000 in street-level drugs were seized.

The DRPS Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances in Durham Region.

On August 21 at 5:30 pm, the suspect was arrested in his motor vehicle near Baseline Road and Liberty Street in Bowmanville. Officers seized a small quantity of crystal meth concealed inside his shoe and also a small quantity of Fentanyl from his motor vehicle.

A further search warrant was executed at his residence on Bloor Street East in Oshawa and additional drugs were located. In total, officers seized approximately $2,300 in cocaine, $975 in Fentanyl and more than $14,800 in crystal meth.

Mile Lavcanski, age 36, of Bloor Street East in Oshawa, has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x5.

He was held for a bail hearing.
