Durham covid count at 810; deaths at 81

Durham Region Health Department yesterday said 810 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the region since February 29.

The count on April 23 had stood at 781 cases.

Of the total covid cases, 26 are hospitalized, of which seven are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There have been 81 deaths, of which 66 were in long term care homes. Recoveries number 316.

Durham Health yesterday updated the community-wide breakdown with the highest number of cases [306] in Pickering followed by 219 in Ajax and 137 in Oshawa.

Note: The data were extracted from the integrated Public Health Information System at 1 pm.
