Durham Region Health Department yesterday said 836 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the region since February 29.
The count on April 24 had stood at 810 cases.
Of the total covid cases, 32 are hospitalized, of which seven are in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There have been 83 deaths, of which 68 were in long term care homes. Recoveries number 330.
Durham Health yesterday updated the community-wide breakdown with the highest number of cases [312] in Pickering followed by 231 in Ajax and 140 in Oshawa.
