Durham Region Health Department has had 99 cases of Covid-19 reported since February 29, said an update yesterday.
On March 29, the count stood at 91.
Seventeen of these people are hospitalized, it added.
Among cases of Covid-19 in Durham Region, there have been four deaths; of these deaths, 1 has occurred in a long-term care home, said Durham Health.
To date, there have been seven people diagnosed with Covid-19 who have recovered from their illness, it added.
