Durham Police K-9 calendar goes on sale

Our four legged K-9 members stole the show at the kick-off for the 2020 K-9 Calendar on Thursday in Whitby. They are once again featured in the calendar, with all sales going to support local charities.

The dogs, along with their handlers, met with members of the public at Pet Smart on Victoria Street in Whitby as the 6th annual K-9 calendar was officially launched. Partners including Pet Smart, The Animal Guardian Society (TAGS) Alzheimer Society Durham and Epilepsy Durham were also there to celebrate the launch.

Over the past five years approximately $185,000 has been raised for local agencies through calendar sales. This year sales will go toward supporting TAGS, Alzheimer Society Durham and Epilepsy Durham.

You can pick up a calendar at any of our divisions or online through our website here: K-9 Calendar. They will also be available at our divisions and at the Police Education and Innovation Centre (located inside Durham College), as well as a variety of community partners. A full list of locations will be available on drps.ca in the next few days.

Thanks to everyone who has supported and continues to support this initiative, DRPS said.
