A bullet casing was found at the Oshawa waterfront trail with blood on it, Durham Police said in a statement.
“Our Forensic investigators attended the Oshawa waterfront trail where a casing was located along with some blood. The blood was tested and deemed to be non-human,” it said.
The scene was cordoned off while the police forensics team worked to find related evidence. “The scene will be cleared shortly. Thanks for you patience,” police said.
DRPS said no victims have come forward.
