The Durham Region Film Commission (Film Durham) will host three film industry career fairs; offering participants a chance meet industry professionals, visit interactive displays and learn about the many well-paying, high-quality job opportunities in the film and television industry.
The film industry career fairs will be held on the following dates:
For post-secondary students: Tuesday, October 29 from 10 am to 2 pm at Durham College/Ontario Tech University, Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, 2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa.
Adult Continuing Education: Thursday, November 21 from 10 am to 2 pm at Archbishop Anthony Meagher, Catholic Continuing Education Centre, 850 King Street West, Unit 26, Oshawa.
A third event, open to high school students, will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
Why: These career fairs will feature jobs in the film industry including: lighting, make-up, performers, prop design, set dressing, sound, special effects, electrical, wardrobe, painters, graphic designers, editing, location scouts, truck drivers, accounting, directors, cinematographers, production managers and post-production.
