The Durham Region Health Department has issued an ‘Extreme Cold Weather’ alert that will be in effect from Friday, November 15 till the morning of Saturday, November 16.
According to Environment Canada website, Friday night saw a low of minus 12, but with wind chill, it felt like minus 19 overnight.
Today (Saturday) morning will be sunny but cold with a high of minus 3. Wind chill will make it feel like minus 19 in the morning and minus 9 in the afternoon.
Sunny morning will be followed by a mix of sun and cloud with 40 per cent chance of flurries late in the morning and in the afternoon. The night will be partly cloudy with a low of minus 8. Wind chill near minus 12.
Tomorrow (Sunday) will be much better with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of plus 2. Night will be low zero.
