Stranger molests teen near busy Oshawa intersection

A 15-year-old Oshawa female reported that she was grabbed by a stranger and touched inappropriately near a busy city intersection.

She did not report the incident immediately, but says it occurred near the intersection of Ritson Road North and Taunton Road East in Oshawa in the days leading up to Halloween. She remembers it occurred around 7:30 pm, according to Durham Police.

She said she was walking southbound and approaching the crosswalk at the intersection when she noticed an unknown male behind her. He struck up a conversation and followed her across the intersection. When they were both on the other side, he suddenly grabbed her. He pushed her into a chain-link fence and started touching her inappropriately. She managed to kick him in the shins and run away to her friend’s house. The male walked away southbound, said a police media release.

The suspect is described as a male, white, about 5’3″ tall, skinny build, in his late 20s, with acne scars on his face, clean shaven, with short brown, spiky hair. He was wearing black work boots, baggy jeans, a grey-hooded sweatshirt and a blue and black plaid jacket.
