Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a female driver was taken to a Toronto trauma center with serious but non-life threatening injuries from a collision.
It said the incident took place in Ajax forcing the closure of Westney Road South between Fairall Street and O’Brien Ct.
The southbound lanes will remain closed… while a hydro pole is replaced. Thank you, it explained.
It urged road users to use an alternate route.
A few hours later, it announced the reopening of the road.
