An Oshawa man faces charges after a two-vehicle collision sent five people to hospital Tuesday night, according to Durham Police.
On December 21 at about 7:45 pm, members from Central East Division were called to a collision on Malaga Road and Oxford Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a sports utility vehicle with five occupants, and a silver Kia with a lone driver. Police received reports that the silver Kia was seen travelling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at the stop sign, colliding with the sports utility vehicle. All five parties in the sports utility vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Kia was charged, police said.
