Durham police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect who robbed an Ajax convenience store at knifepoint on Sunday.
On March 1 at noon, a lone male with his face covered entered the Dollars Delight convenience store on Williamson Drive in Ajax. He threatened the clerk, demanding money from the till. The suspect obtained a quantity of cash and fled the store on foot. He was last seen in the area of Westney Road and Williamson Drive.
Uniform officers and a K-9 team quickly set up a perimeter, however the suspect was not located. The clerk was not physically injured.
The suspect is described as a male, black, about 25 years old, 5’8″ tall with a slender build, wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black hat.
