Help find woman who is said to have assaulted a protester

Durham police are looking to identify a suspect after an assault in Oshawa.

The victim contacted police and advised that on July 24, in the area of Simcoe Street South and King Street East she had been assaulted by an unknown female while participating in a protest. The female proceeded to drive up to the victim at which time the suspect threw a drink at the victim.

The suspect was driving a white Chevrolet Equinox, unknown license plate, police said.

The suspect can be described as: female, White, approximately 20 years of age, thin build, brown / dark red hair and was wearing a white top.
