In Pix: Oshawa Power kept busy all night long

Oshawa Power said its crews were kept busy all night and into yesterday morning coping with the storm damage of the night before.

“What a night! Our crews worked throughout the night chasing outages caused by fallen trees, lightening strikes and fallen wires. There is approx 20 outages affecting 200 customers throughout the city. Do NOT approach fallen wires. We are working to restore power asap,” said a tweet from Oshawa Power.

“We have multiple areas of wires down: Jarvis St wires down on car, Woodcrest wires down, Masson St tree & wires down on car, Rosmere St tree & wires down, Cadillac Ave S tree down with wires arcing. Our crews are responding. Stay 30 ft away from fallen wires. Dash symbol High voltage sign,” said another tweet.

Elexicon Energy too announced outages due to tree contact in Ajax, which affected Clover Ridge Dr. E., Crawford Dr. and Bryant Rd.

Oshawa Power said: “This is a reminder to keep your trees trimmed away from hydro lines. If the tree is on City property you can submit a service request at http://ow.ly/X76p50A51qC or call 905-436-3311,” it said.
