Canadian Tire will be hosting a free family BBQ next week to officially celebrate the opening of town of Uxbridge’s newest sports facility, the Jumpstart MultiSport court.
The barbeque will be held on Saturday, May 14, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, in Bonner Fields at 21 Capstick Lane, Uxbridge.
“The Uxbridge Canadian Tire store is inviting the local community to come out for a free family barbeque to celebrate the grand opening of the town’s newest sports facility – the Jumpstart Inclusive Multi Sport Court,” said a release.
“The Jumpstart Multi Sport Court provides accessible courts and recreation space with options for pickleball. volleyball. tennis. basketball and free play. Accessible sports such as wheelchair racquet sports. sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball can also be played at the court,” it said.
“The Town of Uxbridge graciously donated the land and contributed financially to support development of the court along with local Uxbridge Canadian Tire Dealer Pat Higgins and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities,” it added.
