King Street to be closed for two weeks starting Wednesday

King Street (Prince Albert area) between Old Simcoe Road and Simcoe Street is scheduled to be closed from Wednesday, November 26, to Wednesday, December 10, weather permitting.

This closure will be in place to install a sewer for the reconstruction of Union Avenue, said a Township of Scugog statement.

It said local traffic will be maintained to the residences on King Street. Through traffic will not be permitted as the scope of work requires occupying the entire width of the road at Union Avenue. Detour signage will be installed to direct the traffic around the closure on arterial roads.

Eastbound Detour Routes:

  • Old Simcoe Road at King Street to: Scugog Street, Simcoe Street, and King Street Westbound Detour Routes
  • Simcoe Street at King Street to: Scugog Street, Old Simcoe Road, and King Street
