Night road works in Pickering, Oshawa road closure

Whitby: The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department has advised residents of night work and intermittent lane restrictions on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) and Concession Road 3 in Pickering.

When: September 23 to 28. Night work is expected to be from 9 pm to 6 am to ensure safety and minimize impact on traffic. Intermittent lane restrictions will also be required for the duration of the project.

Where: Brock Road, from 245 metres south of Concession Road 3 to 200 metres north of Zents Drive.
Concession Road 3, from 50 metres west of Brock Road to 40 metres east of Southcott Road.

Why: Surface asphalt paving.

Oshawa Road Closure

Townline Road S, between Bloor St to Southgate Dr will be closed as Oshawa’s contractor, D. Crupi & Sons Ltd. will mobilize forces the week of September 23 to begin work of Removals, Grading, Asphalt Milling and Paving.

The anticipated completion date is September 30.

  • No Left Turn or Right Turns will be allowed onto Townline Rd South from Bloor St E (only DRT or School Buses will be allowed)
  • No Straight through will be allowed for Traffic headed south onto Townline Rd S at the Bloor St E Intersection (only DRT or School Buses will be allowed)
  • Down Cres will have 1 entrance open at all times during the construction period because they do not have access to any detour streets.
  • Buses will have access to Eastbound and Westbound at Grandview/Pickard Gate for Bus Routes.
  • No Side Streets will be allowed to have access to Townline Rd S, other than Down Cres and Buses for Grandview/Pickard Gate

Notification letters have already been delivered to residents adjacent to the work.

Down Crescent and Delmark Ct. will have access to the Southern Intersection of Down Cres and Townline Rd S to enter and exit from Grandview Dr & Townline Rd S Intersection only.
