Lane restrictions in Courtice, Whitby from Monday

The Regional Municipality of Durham has advised of lane restrictions and road closures in Courtice, Whitby, Scugog and Brock with most starting on Monday.

Courtice: Residents were notified of lane restrictions on Bloor Street East (Regional Road 22) in Courtice.

When: May 25 to 29
Where: Bloor Street East from Townline Road South to Bruntsfield Street, in Courtice
Why: To safely install a concrete median

Whitby: There will be lane restrictions on Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) in the Town of Whitby.

When: May 25 to June 19
Where: Thickson Road (Regional Road 26), from Dundas Street (Regional Highway 2) to William Stephenson Drive in the Town of Whitby.
Why: Road rehabilitation

Scugog: Lane restrictions on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) and Reach Street (Regional Road 8) in the Township of Scugog.

When: Ongoing to June 19
Where: Simcoe Street from Beech Street to Riverview Drive, and Reach Street from Bigelow Street to Simcoe Street, in Scugog
Why: Road reconstruction

Brock: The Regional Municipality of Durham has reopened Regional Road 13 west of Lake Ridge Road and is beginning the second stage of work on this project. Regional Road 13 will be closed east of the intersection of Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) in the Township of Brock.

When: Ongoing to July 14
Where: Regional Road 13, just east of Lake Ridge Road in Brock
