The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department has placed lane restrictions on Brock Street, and Manning Road (Regional Road 58), in the Town of Whitby.
When: Ongoing until further notice.
Brock Street: Northbound lane restrictions, at the immediate intersection of Brock Street and Manning Road, in Whitby.
Manning Road: Eastbound lane restrictions, at the immediate intersection of Brock Street and Manning Road, in Whitby.
Restrictions may increase during the repairs.
Why: To allow equipment access to repair a broken watermain and the surrounding area.
Note: Residents and businesses in the immediate area may experience a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
Lane restrictions on Taunton Road in Hampton next week
There will be lane restrictions on a portion of Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in Hampton.
When: September 9 to 13. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Taunton Road, between Holt Road and Maple Grove Road, in Hampton (Municipality of Clarington).
Why: To replace a culvert.
