An Ajax convenience store was robbed by a male brandishing a machete and investigators are appealing for information to identify the suspect.
On April 11 at approximately 2:50 am, a lone male entered Sam’s Food Stores on Hunt Street in Ajax with his face covered. He was carrying a machete and demanded money from the employee. After receiving a quantity of cash, he ran out of the store. The employee was not physically injured, police said.
Officers arrived and searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, who was described as a male, black, thin build, wearing dark clothing, they added.
