Male shot at Oshawa home, police asking for suspect info

Durham police are searching for a suspect after a male was shot in Oshawa on Wednesday.

On October 1 at about 6:15 pm, members of Central East Division responded to an armed person call at a residence in the area of Oxford Street and Wentworth Street West (see below).

The victim was in his residence when the suspect entered and started a verbal altercation. The suspect shot a firearm toward the victim before fleeing the area.  The victim was transported to local area hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, police believe this to be an isolated incident.

The suspect is described as: male, Black, approximately 20-21 years-old, 5’8” tall, with hair in short dreadlocks.
