Man airlifted to hospital after vehicle roll over

Durham Police said a 25-year-old Whitby male was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital after his vehicle lost control and rolled over early yesterday morning.

On October 17 at approximately 1:50 am, officers from Central West Division were called to the scene of a single motor vehicle roll over. The involved vehicle had been travelling southbound on Baldwin Street South approaching Canary Street when it lost control and rolled on the east side of the roadway, ending up in the ditch. The 25-year-old male was transported to a Toronto-area hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, said a police statement.

Alcohol and speed were a factor in this single motor vehicle collision.

Members of the DRPS Traffic Services Branch, Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation.
