Man stabbed, hit with golf club in failed drug deal

Durham police are investigating after an Oshawa man reported being stabbed with a knife and struck with a golf club during a failed drug transaction.

On May 24 at about 10 am, officers were called about a male sleeping outside in Lakeview Park in Oshawa. The 21-year-old male reported he had been stabbed and also struck by a golf club the day before in central Oshawa, during a failed drug transaction. He had already been to hospital and had been treated and released with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators were able to locate a crime scene at an apartment building on Simcoe Street South near John Street in Oshawa and the investigation is continuing. The suspects are described as a male, black, about 30-40 years old and a Latin-American female, about 30 years old.
